What are LightForce Braces?

How are LightForce Braces Different than Traditional Braces?

Traditional braces are mass-produced, and an orthodontist must place the pre-made metal brackets on each individual tooth. LightForce technology uses indirect bonding, which means the brackets are placed on a model of your teeth using the exact positions mapped out by the digital scan. This digital planning method makes LightForce braces easier to install, more accurate, and more convenient for both the orthodontist and the patient. The custom nature of the brackets means that your braces are less likely to need repairs or adjustments, so you will not need to come into the office as frequently! How Are They Installed?

Your orthodontist will take a 3D scan of your teeth to be uploaded to the LightForce software, on which they can create a treatment plan based on your specific needs. The braces are then 3D printed, along with a custom tray that your orthodontist will use to accurately install the brackets in the positions from the digital plan.
